Improve your emotional wellbeing with GoalGetters!

Emotional wellbeing

Our focus for April is emotional wellbeing, and this week’s article provides suggestions for goals to help you improve your emotional wellbeing.

Strong emotional wellbeing helps you to realise your full potential, cope with the stresses of life, work productively and make meaningful contributions to your community.

On the other hand, poor emotional wellbeing can have serious impacts on our health, including stress, depression, reduced immunity and other health risks.

Sometimes you can find an activity that meets many different needs.  For me, it’s running.  As well as meeting my physical needs, it also meets:

  • Emotional needs (exercise endorphins – combined with the lift from meeting my other needs)
  • Environmental needs (I run outside in nature)
  • Spiritual and intellectual needs (it is my time to think and reflect)
  • Social needs (at race events, I get to connect with others who love running)

What activities do you do that tick all the boxes for you?
